I always build around the melody and the story of a record, because that's the heart of it all. Once that's established, my goal is to create a sonic world that captivates the audience and enhances their perception of the story.

I'm Florian "Flozinho" Mavridorakis, a French producer and drummer now making records in Los Angeles.
I studied drums and production & engineering at Berklee College of Music, graduated in 2021, and moved to Los Angeles in 2022. I was already running several projects of my own, and there I fell in love with producing for other artists like Stephània, LinoXRen, and Glisha. Whatever the genre, the job is the same: tell a story through sound, and build a world for it to live in.
The road there started late. I was 14 when I first sat behind a drum kit. Then I wandered off to the guitar for a few years, and the drums pulled me back when I moved to New York.
My ears grew up on Hendrix's guitar and the dusty boom-bap of '90s hip hop. Following the samples back led me to James Brown and Marvin Gaye, to the sweat of funk and the warmth of soul. That road ran straight into J Dilla, whose off-kilter swing changed the way I hear time. From Detroit it was a short jump to Miles and Coltrane, and from jazz the road kept going: south to Brazil, across the ocean to Afrobeat, and finally into electronic music, where I fell hard for synthesizers and effect pedals.
Every one of those detours still lives in what I make. I like music that feels like sunlight: warm, always moving, a little unpredictable. And I'm happiest when a record takes a risk.
